About These Terms

These terms govern your use of People of Dharamshala, including the public website, private admin workspace, story-capture tools, and future public submission, rental, support, or community features.

By using the site, you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully, and in a way that protects the dignity, privacy, and consent of the people represented here.

Private Admin Access

Admin routes are private and restricted to approved accounts. You may not attempt to access, test, scrape, bypass, or interfere with private areas unless you have explicit permission from People of Dharamshala.

Admin users are responsible for protecting login links, accounts, unpublished notes, protagonist records, contact details, consent information, and draft editorial material.

Stories, Consent, And Editorial Judgment

People of Dharamshala is built around real people and real places. Story material, photographs, video, audio, likeness, quotes, translations, and sensitive personal context should be collected and published only with appropriate consent and editorial review.

A person agreeing to a conversation does not automatically permit every private detail, image, location, family member, or future commercial use to be published.

Acceptable Use

• Do not misuse the site, interfere with security, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Do not submit unlawful, abusive, defamatory, exploitative, or privacy-invasive content.
• Do not copy, scrape, or reuse story material in a way that misrepresents people or removes context.
• Do not use the platform to harass, profile, or exploit local people, visitors, suppliers, or protagonists.

Intellectual Property

The site's design, writing, editorial structure, software, and original media belong to People of Dharamshala or its contributors unless otherwise stated. You may link to public pages, but you may not reproduce, commercially reuse, or modify substantial material without permission.

If you submit material, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that doing so does not violate another person's privacy, consent, copyright, or other rights.

Future Rentals, Experiences, And Support

Rentals, local experiences, sponsorships, support, patronage, memberships, and payments may be introduced later with more specific terms. Until those terms are published, any such activity should be treated as a manual inquiry rather than an automated transaction.

Supporter payments should not be treated as tax-deductible charitable donations unless a proper legal structure is created and stated publicly.

Third-Party Services

The site may use services such as Supabase, Vercel, Google sign-in, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, advertising tools, embedded media, maps, or communication platforms. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

No Warranty

The site is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We try to keep information accurate, respectful, and useful, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free content, or suitability for every use.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, People of Dharamshala is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
